Annie was in charge of pretty much everything. Richard and I were the responsible adults on the premises, and the cleaners after the event. Sam was hiding in the study. The cats were nowhere to be seen. Alistair and James simply enjoyed themselves.
Here some highlights from before, during and after the party:
....... I baked number 7 biscuits to eat and animal biscuits to decorate
....... Annie baked an amazing Maltesers cake and monkey cupcakes
....... Sam and Annie filled party bags with small gifts and some sweeties
....... Annie hang up the bunting she made specially for James
....... we all danced the conga
....... the children decorated biscuits with all sorts of sugary things
....... and played wrap the mummy with toilet roll
....... and then spent a long while having "snowball" fights with the shredded tissue
....... the hungry hordes gobbled down party food
....... and then played pass the hot potato (well, pass the parcel)
....... we all sang Happy Birthday
....... then some jumped on the trampoline and others danced some more
....... after everybody had left, we tidied up and cleaned the house
....... James opened presents
....... and finally, we collapsed on the sofa
It was a good party! Amazing how much fun there is to be had with 9 rolls of economy loo roll and good old fashioned party games.
Have a lovely Sunday evening. Cx
P.S. It was amazingly difficult to find photos that are suitable for publication on this blog... most have laughing, recognisable children on, which I didn't want to use.
