All things mechanized

preparation
I decided after all the german camouflage frenzy that I needed a break and paint things only in one color... so we are US army, it's time for a ride on the painting table.

You can see in the background an army of sdkfz 251 in all flavors from PSC and Battlefront. But honestly, the strength and will to go after Camouflaged german troop carriers need to be built up anew. Do we need anyway to play with that many halftrack?... the answer for a sane and detached person is probably no.

Meanwhile, we will go mono color...

I like this picture as we can see so many options here. We have resin from Forged in Battle, plastic from Plastic Soldier Company and the Priest M7 from Game Models. The models from Game Models are a nice surprise -as usual-. I paid 6 dollars a piece I think for models that very functional and assembled. I will live them up with extra stowage and Peter Pig figures, and off course I will repaind them. Is it a better deal than buing then new from Battlefront? I don't know. For artillery piece that are on the gaming board -because "we like the look of it in our games"- I don't see myself spending more time than necessary assembly them. So I have been on the hunt for assemble M7, and here we are Game Models.

So the next weeks are going to be pretty much "Olive Drab", however... I still took out some panthers that I primed with "rex oxide primer" because... I am still intending to have in parallel some fun painting the difficult disc camouflage.
